Nathan S. Lewis, Ph.D.
Dr. Lewis initiated the electronic nose research that resulted in the founding of the company. He is currently a Professor of Chemistry at California Institute of Technology. He was a Caltech undergraduate, MIT Ph.D. and a Stanford Associate Professor before coming to Caltech in 1988. He was active in debunking cold fusion and now runs a very large program advancing electronic nose technology at Caltech.
Robert H. Grubbs, Ph.D.
Dr. Grubbs is the California Institute of Technology's Victor and Elizabeth Atkins Professor of Chemistry where he has been since 1978. He was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 1989 and became a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1994. His recent work has focused on catalysts that allow the synthesis of unique polymeric materials in addition to his active research on electronic nose materials.
Rodney M. Goodman, Ph.D.
Dr. Goodman is Professor of Electrical Engineering, Computation and Neural Systems and has been at California Institute of Technology since 1985. He is the founding Principal Investigator of the National Science Foundation's Center for Neuromorphic Systems Engineering at Caltech and has been active in a developing a broad spectrum of electronic systems based on human models. He is currently focusing on the chip-level implementation of the electronic nose.
